A “Good Cause”
Not loosing sight of how lucky we are to be considering a ride of 200 or 300 kilometres, we’ve made a provision for one lucky recipient to benefit by way of gift from The Rove. It’s our way of giving a little something back.
There are many established and registered charities and good cause concerns in WA. Equally, many of these have some fantastic community sponsorship schemes and some serious fund raising nous!
OUR “Good Cause” strides towards making a difference on a smaller scale but have just as much bang for the dollars we can raise. Thanks to Clinton in’t Veld, Managing Director (and Rove rider) of our Primary Sponsor, X-Pert Academy Australia, for assuring we have at least $1,000 for the lucky recipient!

ANYONE can Register a Nomination
We want your nominations for our Good Cause. All qualifying nominations will be considered by a panel, and of those considered, 6 nominations will be shortlisted and voted on by everyone Roving prior to Rove-eve.
Let’s not make the term “qualifying” too complicated. Let’s just say, NOT a registered Charity– Simply email your nomination and give us a bit of background as to why you think it’s a Good Cause
Here are some examples; but you can nominate whoever you deem to be a worthy recipient:
- Ye Olde favourite: Lil Johnny from number 23 needs a life saving operation and the family can’t afford it….
- Someone or their relation has an opportunity to participate in a sport or event …but desperately needs some financial assistance
- A small or struggling club urgently needs …….
- You think that someone who has recently suffered really deserves…..
- “Pay it forward”- someone did something remarkable for you or someone you know, and their needs are……
- Tugging on the sick household pet heart-string…. urgent need of treatment but alas, food for family must come first…
- Someone trying hard to get back on track in urgent need of a computer or study books…
Whatever it is, so long as it doesn’t feature items from your Xmas list, personal wish-list or favourite holiday destinations, then its welcome. You get the picture J
We’ll pick a few suggestions randomly and feature them as blog posts. If your nomination is featured on the blog, we’ll also give you a little thank you gift.
